Its been busy busy since the time we have opened our doors to customers on Day One. We have had an overwhelming response and we are truly excited about it too. We were anticipating a crowd of 10,000 people on day one but the North Wharf was visited by an audience of 16,000 which led to a few manic and busy lunches and dinners. Thank you to all our customers who shared all sorts of feedback - positive and constructive that helped us understand what we can do better and bigger. We should have a brand new website up soon with our menus and photos to keep our fans in the loop.

Rugby world cup Final 2011

Huge congratulations to the All Blacks and New Zealand supporters for winning the Rugby world cup after the long wait of 27 years. Urban Turban was busy all day full of excitement for the final and its outcome. Many guests came to watch it on our big screens, what an amazing atmosphere. It was a tense game between the French and the All Blacks-but the crowd was obviously delighted with the All Blacks winning the cup. Patrons stayed till late and partied into the night. Thanks to all who came to help us celebrate.

 

Rugby world cup Opening Day

A huge party started with queues from mid morning, Urban Turban was rocking with guest and fans alike.  The North Wharf was a busy destination to observe the stunning fireworks and light show.  Urban Turban was excited to see people’s obvious passion coming together to support our nation and the world’s love for sport. Check out the amazing fireworks and the crazy mass of people coming together on the North wharf.
